How to Clear Your WordPress Website Cache

When you make changes to your website—such as updating text, images, or layout—you may sometimes find that those changes don't appear immediately. This is usually due to caching, which stores a "snapshot" of your site to make it load faster for visitors.

On our hosting platform, there are two main types of cache you may need to clear: Object Cache and Edge Cache.

1. Clearing the Object Cache

The Object Cache stores database information (like your posts and settings) in temporary memory so your site doesn't have to look them up every time.

  • Step 1: Log in to your WordPress Dashboard.

  • Step 2: Navigate to Settings > Pressable Cache Management (or Cache Control).

  • Step 3: Click on the Object Cache tab.

  • Step 4: Click the Flush Cache button.

2. Clearing the Edge Cache

The Edge Cache stores your site’s static assets (like images, CSS, and JavaScript) on servers around the world to ensure fast loading for international visitors.

  • Step 1: Stay on the Settings > Pressable Cache Management (or Cache Control) page.

  • Step 2: Click on the Edge Cache tab.

  • Step 3: Click the Purge Edge Cache button.

3. Using the Admin Bar Shortcut

For a quicker way to refresh your site, look at the very top of your WordPress admin toolbar. If enabled, you will see a Flush Cache option. Hovering over this often allows you to clear the cache for the specific page you are currently viewing or the entire site at once.

Troubleshooting: "I don't see these options"

If you do not see the Pressable Cache Management (or Cache Control) option under your Settings menu or in your top admin bar, please open a support ticket with our team. We will ensure the necessary tools are active for your account so you can manage your site's performance effectively.
